Performanciu Matka neviestok uviedol autor už viackrát (premiéra v Headlands Cenetr for the Arts, Sausalito, Kalifornia). Tu vystupuje ako žena, oblečený v červenom korzete a krinolíne, recitujúc texty z kníh Leviticus a Numeri, pojednávajúce o segregačných a selekčných Zákonoch čistoty.
Performance The Mother of Harlots has been presented by the author several times (premiere at Headlands Center for the Arts Sausalito California). Here he appears as a woman, dressed in red corset and crinoline, reciting texts from the books Leviticus and Numeri (The Old Testament), dealing with segregational and selectional Laws of purity. The woman in red dress symbolizes biblical city of sin – Babylon – the mother of harlots and is a figure from the apocalyptic Revelations of St. John the Divine. The highlight of the performance is the final recitation of the author’s poem with the motif of blood as a fluid that symbolically connects all people.
“Blood has been mixed for millennia, and in that sense we are all connected. Blood is something that blurs the boundaries. When we condemn others because they do not fit into our notions of what is ‘normal’ we condemn ourselves, we condemn our own history, because this ‘otherness‘ must have necessarily occurred in our blood and is therefore still in it. ” (Maroš Rovňák)
