Performancia tematicky nadväzuje na staršie performancie Matka neviestok, Hyaena a Litánie, pre ktoré bolo charakteristické spojenie deklamovaných textov akcentujúcich tému odsúdenia, vylúčenia, izolácie a smrti so sprievodnou projekciou autorských videí. Smaragdové mesto je vysnívaným miestom z rozprávky L. F. Bauma Čarodejník z krajiny Oz. Text performancie je sledom myšlienok osoby žijúcej v izolácii alebo v cele.
The performance thematically follows up on the older performances The Mother of Harlots, Hyena and Litany, characterized by a combination of recited texts emphasizing the theme of condemnation, exclusion, isolation and death with the accompanying projection of the authorial videos. The Emerald City is a dream site from the fairy tale by L. F. Baum, The Wizard of Oz. The text of the performance is a sequence of thoughts of a person living in isolation or in a cell.
