I started working on this painting before leaving for an art residency in Prague (May-June 2025). It remained unfinished, although I didn’t quite see it that way at the time. With hindsight, I felt more and more that it wasn’t fully working as a whole.
After nine months, I have returned to it, bringing new experiences to the process.
I am currently working on another piece, but I will likely finish it in my new studio, where I should be moving in February. Up until now, I have been working in the limited conditions of my apartment, where I lacked the necessary physical distance from the canvas.
Na tejto maľbe som začal pracovať ešte pred odchodom na umeleckú rezidenciu do Prahy (máj – jún 2025). Zostala nedokončená, hoci som ju vtedy za takú celkom nepovažoval. S odstupom času som mal stále silnejší pocit, že celkom nefunguje.
Takže som sa k nej po deviatich mesiacoch vrátil s novými skúsenosťami.
Momentálne pracujem na ďalšej maľbe, ale dokončovať ju už zrejme budem v novom ateliéri, kam by som sa mal sťahovať vo februári. Zatiaľ stále pracujem v obmedzených podmienkach nášho bytu, bez potrebného odstupu od plátna.
