The project explores the boundaries of gender identity and the possibilities of self-definition through a radical physical intervention into the integrity of one’s own body. The central gesture is the carving of an embryo-shaped scar—a permanent somatization of a symbol associated with the female experience.
The work can be read on several levels. In a broader context, it references the ritual practices of indigenous cultures where sexuality was not perceived as bipolar, and individuals deviating from the gender mainstream held a specific social and spiritual status. Simultaneously, the work is a reflection on the role of the artist and the necessity of grounding artistic expression in direct, physically lived experience.
In addition to an engaged commentary on the status of women, the project reflects the position of male “otherness,” where the integration of the scar into one’s own physicality represents a conscious act of transformation and a search for an identity that transcends biological determinism.

Projekt skúma hranice rodovej identity a možnosti sebadefinovania prostredníctvom radikálneho fyzického zásahu do integrity vlastného tela. Ústredným gestom je vyrezanie jazvy v tvare embrya – trvalá somatizácia symbolu spätého so ženskou skúsenosťou.
Dielo možno čítať v niekoľkých rovinách. V širšom kontexte odkazuje na rituálne praktiky prírodných kultúr, v ktorých sexualita nebola vnímaná bipolárne a jedinci vybočujúci z rodového mainstreamu zastávali špecifický spoločenský a spirituálny status. Zároveň je dielo úvahou o úlohe umelca a potrebe podmieňovať umeleckú výpoveď priamou, fyzicky odžitou skúsenosťou.
Okrem angažovaného komentára k postaveniu žien tak projekt reflektuje aj pozíciu mužskej inakosti, pričom integrácia jazvy do vlastnej telesnosti predstavuje vedomý akt transformácie a hľadania identity presahujúcej biologický determinizmus.
